Health Canada recalls in effect for Fabuloso cleaner

Health Canada has issued a recall for certain bottles of Fabuloso’s lavender-scented multi-purpose cleaner because of a possible microbial hazard.

The health agency says anyone who has the affected cleaning product should stop using it right away and dispose of it safely according to local waste guidelines.

The recall pertains to 1.65-liter bottles of the cleaner, with the manufacturing codes 3015US78 or 3016US78. You can also check the cleaner for the barcode 035000977588 to determine if your bottle is being recalled.

The manufacturer says more than 21,000 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Five Aims Community College students earn first place in the automotive collision repair contest

Aims Community College students earned first place five categories in an automotive collision repair and refinishing competition earlier this month at Aims’ Automotive & Technology Center at the Windsor Campus.

Aims hosted a SkillsUSA regional competition Feb. 2, with 19 students from Aims and Morgan Community College participating.

The Aims students who finished first in their category were: Kayleigh Kerr, post-secondary refinishing; Jesus Conejo secondary refinishing; Jesse Manuel, post-secondary damage appraisal; Mario Saenz, secondary damage appraisal; and Darion Cordova, post-secondary collision repair.

Danielle Wilson was second in post-secondary refinishing.
