The Isuzu N-Series EV, also known as the Elf EV, is Isuzu’s all-electric light-duty commercial vehicle that can haul goods without using fuel. It was first shown to the public two years ago at the 9th Philippine International Auto Show (PIMS), where it generated significant interest due to its potential to reduce emissions and operating costs for businesses.
The vehicle had a 40 kWh battery pack, giving it a range of up to 115 km, and was powered by a single electric motor that puts out 122 PS and 370 Nm of torque. This made it an attractive option for companies looking to transition to electric vehicles, especially those with shorter routes or lower payload requirements.
However, the latest version of the N-Series EV has a maximum electric power of 167 kW (227 PS) and a bigger 100 kWh battery pack. This significant upgrade in power and battery capacity is expected to improve the vehicle’s performance and range, making it a more viable option for a wider range of businesses and applications.
N-Series EV Specifications
Based on the specifications, the Isuzu N-Series EV delivers 227 PS and 420 Nm of torque. The 100 kWh battery pack is a lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) unit courtesy of CATL and has a range of up to 299 km. This range is particularly notable, as it suggests that the N-Series EV can handle longer routes or more frequent deliveries without needing to recharge.
The vehicle also supports CCS2 DC charging for quick recharging, which can be a major advantage for businesses that need to minimize downtime and keep their vehicles on the road. Size-wise, the Isuzu N-Series EV measures 5820mm long, 2020mm wide, and 2275mm tall on a 3360mm wheelbase, making it a compact and maneuverable option for urban deliveries.

It has a gross vehicle weight of 4,495 kg and can seat a total of three passengers, which is typical for a light-duty commercial vehicle. The Department of Energy (DOE) recently updated its list of recognized EVs, and the Isuzu N-Series EV is now on that list.
Possible Launch in the Philippines
The fact that the DOE has already recognized the N-Series EV could mean that Isuzu Philippine Corporation (IPC) is gearing up for a local launch. Although IPC has yet to announce anything regarding the N-Series EV for the Philippine market, the recognition by the DOE is a positive sign.
For now, fans of the Isuzu N-Series EV will have to wait and see if it will be launched in the Philippines soon.
