In a recent study published in JAMA Internal Medicineresearchers performed a prospective cohort study among 1981 female nurses to investigate whether maintaining a healthy lifestyle reduces the risk of post–coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) condition (PCC) following severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.

Healthy Lifestyle Before Infection Linked to Lower Long COVID Risk

A healthy lifestyle before COVID-19 infection was associated with a substantially lower risk of a post-COVID condition (PCC), or long COVID, a prospective cohort study suggested.
